Help Change A Life

Northern Kentucky Community Action Commission’s YouthBuild of Northern Kentucky Program (YBNKY) is seeking mentors willing to commit to change the life of one of our young people. For over three years, YBNKY has helped these young people earn their G.E.D., learn and master career skills, and give back to the community. Using a multidisciplined approach of leadership, education, community service, career training and counseling, YBNKY has seen young people enroll in college, find jobs, and change their future.

Now, we are excited to add a formal mentoring component to our program. Mentoring is a way to reduce risk-taking behaviors, reduce contact with the criminal justice system and keep on to the path to long term success.

Client Testimonials

The program has helped me in my struggles in life and they helped me get my life together to make it better for the future. The YouthBuild program has helped me out a lot. They came to court with me. They helped when my electricity was off and I was sleeping in a cold house. They helped me get it paid off so I could get it turned back on. They also help by listening to problems in my life. It is nice to have someone care.
